Where do I camp and do I have to?

The vast majority of festival guests stay on site and escape the familiar for 4 days to camp under the stars. We do have glamping options for those who wish to stay onsite and not have to worry about setting or packing up tents and bedding. There are many guests who prefer to stay in local B&B’s, motels or hotels in the area and join just for the daytime festivities and park onsite in the day parking zone. Can I sleep in my vehicle?

Yes, you can. We have a specific area and car pass for vehicle sleepers. You will need to purchase a sleeping in vehicle pass (under 6m) or a caravan, trailer, campervan(over 6m) pass to do this.

Can I set up my tent next to my car?

No, due to OH&S reasons our general camping is separate from vehicles. If you have a general car levy/vehicle pass, you will be in the general camping area and your car will be parked within 200 metres (approx 3-5 min walk) of your camp site. Please come prepared for that. Please note if you have accessible needs and requirements please purchase an accessible car pass.

Can I bring a camper-van, trailer or caravan?

Yes, you can, however, not all camping terrain is suitable or safe, therefore there is a specific area for these vehicles. You will need to reserve a specific Caravan, Trailer, camper-van/RV (over 6m) pass and these are limited and sell out. The Caravan Zones- are approx 14m wide x 4m long. - are on suitable flat ground- do NOT have power or water options- enable early entry (an hour earlier than general guests) at 10am on the Thursday.There will be staff to ensure your caravan is safely parked. Cost is $190 to reserve a caravan/trailer or campervan/RV site (over 6m) - plots or the 4 days/ 3 nights.This is in addition to your festival ticket.

Do I need an extra car pass for the car attached to my caravan?

No, you only need to book a Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass.

I need power for my CPAP and will be bringing a caravan. What tickets should I book?

Anyone who requires power for medical reasons will need to purchase power on top of their ticket type if they are not a general camper. You will need to buy a Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass and pay additional money for a power ticket. The power will cost $130 + booking fee. To obtain access to this, please inform us about your requirements by sending an email to info@sevensisterfestival.com and we will be in touch to organise an access code for this ticket type.

Can I bring a Gas Stove or BBQ?

No, our site has a Total Fire Ban. As a public event we must go through an approval process by local CFA, Fire Rescue Victoria and the Local Council. As part of our permit conditions the festival is required to be listed as a Total Fire Ban unless approval has been granted by the local authorities. I.e Welcome to Country and any performances must be pre-approved and managed by appointed Fire Crew onsite. It is considered too high risk for 1000s of people to be in a contained area using fire and items that could ignite.

Can you tell me in more detail about the Vehicle car levies/camping areas?

To reduce vehicles, traffic, parking and allow more space for campgrounds, patrons are required to secure a vehicle camping pass. 1. Do I need to book a Car Pass? If you will be camping overnight and parking onsite, you need to book a Car Pass. One car pass for each car and it is only a one time purchase. A Car Pass is good for 4 days and 3 nights. Please take note that we have different types of car passes: • Car Pass (early entry from 11am onwards Thurs 19 March) • Car Pass (entry 12:30pm onwards Thurs 19 March) • Car Pass - Sleeping in vehicle (under 6m) • Car Pass - Accessible / Mums & Bubs • Power plot + Car pass in Accessible Area (for medical purposes only) • Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass 2. What type of Car Pass should I purchase? If your vehicle is a small campervan/vehicle that is under 6m you will need to book the “Car Pass” If your vehicle is a small campervan/vehicle that is under 6m and you will be SLEEPING IN IT, you will need to book the “Car Pass - Sleeping in vehicle (under 6m)” If your vehicle is over 6m you need to book the “Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass” If you are bringing a caravan or trailer (anything being towed) – you need to book the “Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass” , no matter what the size is because they will be parked at the caravan’s parking area. That is the only space we will allow trailers. 3. Do I need to purchase a Car Pass if I am staying offsite? No, if you are staying offsite, you do not require a car pass. A car pass is only for those camping overnight. 4. Do I need a Car Pass if I will be coming on Friday, Saturday or Sunday only? Parking is already included in the Day tickets. Your vehicle will be parked at the Day Parking area. 5. Is "Car Pass - Sleeping in vehicle" also applicable to guests who purchased Day Tickets? No, Sleeping in vehicle pass is only for those who have booked the full ticket and are staying onsite. Day tickets to not include staying onsite overnight.

Are pass outs issued and what time to gates open and close?

Your festival wristband allows you to leave and return to the site for those staying off site but we encourage participants to be present throughout the festival. Guests can leave and enter festival grounds at these times GATES OPEN FOR ENTRY EACH DAY:You must enter the site between the following times each day.THURSDAY: 11:00am - 9:00pmFRIDAY: 7:30am - 12:00pmSATURDAY: 7:30am - 12:00pmSUNDAY: 7:30am - 12:00pmGATES CLOSE EACH DAY:You can exit the site up until 11pm on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. 15 minutes from Seymour
1 hour and 30 minutes from Melbourne Airport
1 hour and 45 minutes from central Melbourne

Travel times are approximate and may vary with traffic and road conditions.

PUBLIC TRANSPORT OPTIONS

V/Line trains operate between Southern Cross Station and Seymour Station.

From Seymour Station, you will need to arrange a taxi or other transport to the festival site. The journey is approximately 15 minutes.

Before travelling, check the latest V/Line timetable and any planned service changes. Replacement coaches sometimes operate during rail works.

TRAVELLING FROM MELBOURNE AIRPORT

Catch the SkyBus from Melbourne Airport to Southern Cross Station, then take a V/Line service to Seymour.

From Seymour Station, arrange a pre-booked taxi to the festival site.

Allow plenty of time for connections and check current fares, timetables and service updates before travelling.

ARRIVAL ONSITE & TICKETING

When you arrive, follow the festival signs to the ticketing entry.
Drive 750m along the 3 lane Ticketing Entry Road “Happiness Hwy” and stay in your car while our team scans your ticket.

Have your Festival Ticket and car pass (if camping) ready on your phone when you reach the gate.

Once checked in, you will receive your festival wristband and directions to the appropriate camping or parking area.

WAITING BAY

A waiting bay will be available after ticketing for anyone who would like to regroup with friends before entering the campground together.

KISS AND GO/DROP OFF

The Kiss and Go/ Drop off area is located at the main gate. Your ticket can be scanned here. This area is designed for anyone who needs to be dropped off or picked up from the site during the festival.

IMPORTANT RULES We have a complete fire ban as part of our permit regulations. Please adhere to the following: No smudge sticks, candles, fires, pyrotechnics, firecrackers, sparklers, incense sticks or flares. No gas stoves or BBQ’s No dogs or pets (support animals are accepted) No drugs or alcohol No swimming No glass No non biodegradable glitter No smoking or vaping near the workshop or food areas. There is one designated smoking area on site. Please pick up & bin your cigarette butts. No children between 18months and 11 years Observe the specified gate opening and closing times Wear your official festival wristband at all times Wear appropriate footwear on the festival site at all times. It’s a farm and it’s Victoria, come prepared for rain and the terrain! No non-paying ticket holders/ friends to come onsite to help set up or pack up your gear without prior approval from Seven Sisters Management All Caravans, Campervans (over 6m) and trailers must have a valid Caravan/Campervan ticket to enter the site. All vehicles staying onsite must have a car pass (does not apply to day guests)

We have an onsite Guest Service Manager and team here to support you onsite. INFO TENT Hosts Event Crew & facilities to assist with - general questions - ATM - phone charging station, - ice purchase - lost property FIRST AID & COUNSELLING - first aid - onsite counselling services WASH STATION There is only 1 hot water & wash station. This is located next to the Info Tent. WASTE STATION There is only 1 waste station, everyone is asked to minimise and reduce the waste they are bringing on to the site. We will only have 1 waste station, which means, all rubbish from campsite will need to be taken home with you. The waste station can be used for waste from the food village. Our Green Team sort the rubbish and divert items from landfill where possible. SUPPORT LOUNGES - mums & bubs lounge - red tent - rainbow tent - teens lounge

We have an amazing food market with offerings from coffee to kombucha, acai smoothies to amazing desserts, veggie pancakes to Vietnamese rolls. Vendors will operate from Thursday lunch to Sunday lunch with options for various dietary requirements including vegan, vegetarian, meat, lactose and gluten free options. Many guests also bring their own non-perishable snacks that can be easily stored in a shaded area of their tents or esky. Like most festivals, we cannot provide kitchen facilities or fridge space for thousands of participants. You are able to purchase ice from the Info tent daily. There is also a hot water station where you can fill up your thermos. Please note this is a drug and alcohol free event.

There are over 80 healers and readers at the Healing Haven providing services by donation to the festival. To book, simply go to the Healing Haven sign in tent to learn what's on offer and book in for a 25minute session by donation. Suggested donation $20-35. BOOKING TIMES (please note these times might change) Thursday: 2:30-3:30pm Friday: 7:00-8:30am, 2:00- 3:00pm Saturday: 7:00-8:30am, 2:00- 3:00pm Sunday: 8:00-9:00am NOTE: Guests cannot book days in advance. You can only book in for booking times for the session that are immediately after. If you want a longer session or to book in at another time that suits you better, please check out the healing markets which are independent stalls.

CAR PASSES, PARKING & CAR MOVEMENT

All guests camping onsite require a car pass/ caravan pass/ sleeping in vehicle pass, mums & bubs or accessible car pass.
Only 1 car pass needed per car, not per person.
Day guests, do not require a car pass.
Please take note of the arrival time listed on the car pass.
For safety reason, please drive no faster than 5km per hour on-site
The Day parking is situated in the Eastern Paddock (near the entry gate)
General Parking for Camping guests is in the Western Paddock (festival zone).
Camping and parking is separate unless you have purchased a sleeping-in vehicle pass/mums & bubs or accessible pass.
Please note Sleeping In vehicle pass and general camping are in different zones.

GENERAL CAMPING

There are no marked-out plots for general camping zones (sleeping in vehicle, mums & bubs, and accessible sites do have marked-up zones)
Car parking and Camping are separate for safety reasons.
For safety reasons, once you are parked, there are minimal vehicle movements onsite.
Also, don't peg into any paint spray/ chalk lines (this is where our underground water pipes are located.)
Do bring strong pegs and mallet as our ground is hard.

CARAVAN / TRAILERS / RV / CAMPERVANS

There is a dedicated caravan area.
This area is for Campervan's and RV's that are over 6m and all camper trailers and caravans (no matter the size).
You MUST have a caravan ticket to camp in this section. (Space is limited)
Please note there is a Caravan parking in the Mums and Bubs & Accessible Area.

Need assistance parking your caravan & setting it up?

You are allowed to enter the festival with a non-ticketed support person from 10am-11am on the first day of the festival. Support persons must be off-site from 11am, As the festival begins at 11:00 am. This only applies to people with caravan, mum's & bub's or an accessible car pass.

Each caravan site is approx 4m x 14m. All vehicles need to be self-contained.
No generators are permitted that are not in built.
No power, water, or waste services are provided.

We do have glamping options for those who wish to stay onsite and not have to worry about setting or packing up tents and bedding. There are many guests who prefer to stay in local B&B’s, motels or hotels in the area and join just for the daytime festivities and park onsite in the day parking zone. Yes, you can, however, not all camping terrain is suitable or safe, therefore there is a specific area for these vehicles. You will need to reserve a specific Caravan, Trailer, camper-van/RV (over 6m) pass and these are limited and sell out. The Caravan Zones- are approx 14m wide x 4m long. - are on suitable flat ground- do NOT have power or water options- enable early entry (an hour earlier than general guests) at 10am on the Thursday.There will be staff to ensure your caravan is safely parked. Cost is $190 to reserve a caravan/trailer or campervan/RV site (over 6m) - plots or the 4 days/ 3 nights.This is in addition to your festival ticket.

Anyone who requires power for medical reasons will need to purchase power on top of their ticket type if they are not a general camper. You will need to buy a Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass and pay additional money for a power ticket. The power will cost $130 + booking fee. To obtain access to this, please inform us about your requirements by sending an email to info@sevensisterfestival.com and we will be in touch to organise an access code for this ticket type.

No, our site has a Total Fire Ban. As a public event we must go through an approval process by local CFA, Fire Rescue Victoria and the Local Council. As part of our permit conditions the festival is required to be listed as a Total Fire Ban unless approval has been granted by the local authorities. I.e Welcome to Country and any performances must be pre-approved and managed by appointed Fire Crew onsite. It is considered too high risk for 1000s of people to be in a contained area using fire and items that could ignite.

To reduce vehicles, traffic, parking and allow more space for campgrounds, patrons are required to secure a vehicle camping pass. 1. Do I need to book a Car Pass? If you will be camping overnight and parking onsite, you need to book a Car Pass. One car pass for each car and it is only a one time purchase. A Car Pass is good for 4 days and 3 nights. Please take note that we have different types of car passes: • Car Pass (early entry from 11am onwards Thurs 19 March) • Car Pass (entry 12:30pm onwards Thurs 19 March) • Car Pass - Sleeping in vehicle (under 6m) • Car Pass - Accessible / Mums & Bubs • Power plot + Car pass in Accessible Area (for medical purposes only) • Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass 2. What type of Car Pass should I purchase? If your vehicle is a small campervan/vehicle that is under 6m you will need to book the “Car Pass” If your vehicle is a small campervan/vehicle that is under 6m and you will be SLEEPING IN IT, you will need to book the “Car Pass - Sleeping in vehicle (under 6m)” If your vehicle is over 6m you need to book the “Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass” If you are bringing a caravan or trailer (anything being towed) – you need to book the “Caravan/RV/Trailer Pass” , no matter what the size is because they will be parked at the caravan’s parking area. That is the only space we will allow trailers. 3. Do I need to purchase a Car Pass if I am staying offsite? No, if you are staying offsite, you do not require a car pass. A car pass is only for those camping overnight. 4. Do I need a Car Pass if I will be coming on Friday, Saturday or Sunday only? Parking is already included in the Day tickets. Your vehicle will be parked at the Day Parking area. 5. Is "Car Pass - Sleeping in vehicle" also applicable to guests who purchased Day Tickets? No, Sleeping in vehicle pass is only for those who have booked the full ticket and are staying onsite. Day tickets to not include staying onsite overnight.

Your festival wristband allows you to leave and return to the site for those staying off site but we encourage participants to be present throughout the festival. We have a complete fire ban onsite, as part of our permit We respectfully ask that you adhere to the following: No smudge sticks, candles, fires, pyrotechnics, firecrackers, sparklers, incense sticks or flares No gas stoves or BBQ’s No dogs or pets (support animals are accepted) No drugs or alcohol No swimming No glass No non biodegradable glitter No children between 18months and 11 years No smoking or vaping near the workshop or food areas. There is one designated smoking area on site. Please pick up & bin your cigarette butts. Observe the specified gate opening and closing times. Wear your official festival wristband at all times. Wear appropriate footwear on the festival site at all times. It’s a farm and it’s Victoria, come prepared for rain and the terrain! No non-paying friends, to come onsite to help set up or pack up your gear without prior approval from Seven Sisters Management. All Caravans, Campervans (over 6m) and trailers must have a valid Caravan/Campervan ticket to enter the site. All vehicles staying onsite must have a car pass (does not apply to day guests)

Prior to the use of the land for Seven Sisters Festival, a thorough review was conducted to assess its cultural significance. No cultural significance overlays were identified, and it was determined that the area had not been used historically for ceremonies or as a campground. Before the inaugural event took place, permission was diligently sought. Taungurung Elder Aunty Jo Honeysett visited the site, expressed her admiration for the beautiful surroundings, and shared her enthusiasm for being involved. Since then, Taungurung Elders have remained supportive of the Festival and have consistently conveyed a sense of acceptance and warmth. As the recognised Traditional Owners of this land, the Taungurung people are best positioned to make decisions about their Country, and we are grateful for their continued guidance. We acknowledge that in 2023, some concerns were raised by First Nations guests regarding the cultural significance of the Festival site, including the belief that it may be part of Men’s ceremonial Country. While there is no verified information confirming this specific site as Men’s ceremonial ground, we understand there are references to Men’s ceremonial areas further west of the site. We deeply respect that cultural knowledge is held by Traditional Custodians, Elders, and knowledge holders, and that this knowledge can vary across communities and Country. We are committed to ongoing listening and culturally respectful engagement. As guests on Taungurung Country, we continue to seek guidance from Taungurung Elders to better understand the cultural significance of the land and ensure our presence and activities are respectful and in alignment with their protocols and wishes. We welcome open dialogue and remain committed to creating a Festival that is culturally safe, inclusive, and respectful space for everyone.

Seven Sisters festival is a transformative and important place for many; women have attended our festival for twelve years now, and we’ve seen so much joyful growth in that time. In our journey towards equality and empowerment it's important to acknowledge that our society is not equal, and that while some may benefit from privileges, many others are marginalised and left behind. Over the past 12 years we’ve become more aware of the areas in which we as a festival need, and want, to change, grow, and learn. We want to ensure that every woman who attends our festival has the opportunity for transformation, joy, and fun, without the risk of feeling that, due to their identity, they are not safe. We acknowledge that there have been times in the past that our festival has not provided that. We deeply apologise and are committed to doing the work to deepen the culture of Seven Sisters to be even more inclusive, compassionate and respectful going forward. We acknowledge that this work is ongoing, and we will continue to show up for it. Over the last 9 years we have been working with First Nations Cultural Advisors and Specialist Advisors to find ways that we as a Festival can improve our practises and educate ourselves and those involved in our events. Part of that education is using our platform to share information with all those involved in our events to encourage more conscious practises. Women+ is an inclusive term often used to signal that a space, service, or event is centered on women, but also welcomes people who don't strictly identify as cisgender women. It generally includes: Cisgender women Trans women Non-binary people, intersex individuals, genderqueer, or gender non-conforming folks who feel aligned with womanhood in some way or who deeply resonate in women-centered spaces Why it's used: The “+” is meant to show that gender is not binary and that not all people who experience misogyny, navigate womanhood, or seek healing in women’s spaces are cis women. It’s about broadening access without erasing specificity. It usually aims to be inclusive of trans and gender-diverse individuals who resonate with the themes, energy, or goals of women-centered communities, while still recognising the unique lived experiences of women.

Seven Sisters has been designed with content that specifically relates to individuals who identify as being women with the intention of creating a space for women's voices, ideas and wisdom to be shared with other women. If you are an individual that identifies as a man and are interested in this style of event and want to see what's out there currently - there are several existing male identified only conferences, retreats and festivals, such as Menergy, Manshine, Island of Man and Tribal man.

Please note as this is a women’s festival and not a women’s and children’s festival we only allow babies up to 18months. For those who are bringing a young baby, we have done our best to provide a Mum and Baby Social Lounge. We will create a clean, comfortable area where mums can feed and change their babies in a clean well lit marquee with comfortable and practical seating and floor mats, cushions, soft blankets and changing areas. We have some complimentary supplies. Additionally we maintain a sterile container to assist bottle feeding and nursing mums with keeping brushes, bottles and other items sterilised. This is all free of charge to support new mums to have more fun! Please do note, that this is an outdoor festival, with temporary facilities and potentially challenging weather conditions. Please carefully assess your capacity about whether this experience is right for you and your bub.

As this has been a point of discussion in the past we put the question forward to past participants in our review survey. Over 75% of women requested to keep this an adult women's only event so we will continue this. We do however allow babies in arms (0-18months) and girls from 12 years upwards. Our main focus is to create a space where adult women can take 4 days of the entire year to just focus on themselves.
